Under the hood of ONE

Hardware, data and scoring built for real-world driving.

ONE combines a plug-and-play OBD device, a calm driver app, and a portfolio dashboard for businesses. Together they turn raw vehicle signals into clear health, behaviour and risk insights – without cameras, black-box installs, or complex IT projects.
Technology overview

A simple stack: device, app, and intelligence layer.

ONE was designed to feel human for drivers and powerful for risk and operations teams. Underneath, three layers work together in real time: a self-install OBD device, an intuitive driver app, and an analytics layer that fuses signals into live health and risk scores.

Plug-and-play OBD device

Connects to the standard OBD port in almost every modern car.
Streams engine and system health, fault codes, mileage and usage data – without touching the vehicle’s control systems.

Driver-friendly mobile app

Gives drivers a clear view of their health score, driver score, trips and alerts.
Designed to feel like a wellness app for the car, not a technical control panel.

Risk & analytics layer

Fuses behaviour, health and usage into a unified score per vehicle,
driver and portfolio.
Surfaces only the signals that matter, from early mechanical risk to emerging default risk.

Device & data

A small device with a lot of signal.

The ONE OBD unit is designed to be self-installed by drivers in seconds. Once plugged in, it quietly listens to the car’s existing systems and sends encrypted data to our cloud – ready to be translated into insights.

Signals we listen to

Live and historic fault codes, temperature and engine events,
mileage and usage, patterns like idling and harsh acceleration,
and more – depending on the vehicle.

These are the same types of signals garages use when they
diagnose issues. ONE simply makes them continuous and readable.

Connectivity & security

Data is securely transmitted over the network, encrypted in transit
and at rest, and processed in a cloud environment designed for
financial-grade use cases.

No access is taken to steering, braking or control systems – ONE
observes, it doesn’t interfere.

Scoring & analytics

Three dimensions of risk – one simple score.

At the heart of ONE is a scoring engine that continuously blends three dimensions: how the vehicle is being driven, how healthy it is, and how it is being used over time. The result is a single, interpretable score per driver and vehicle.

Driver behaviour

Smooth vs. harsh braking, acceleration, speed patterns, night driving and fatigue indicators.

Generated as a driver score that can be monitored by individuals
and used as a risk signal by businesses.

Mechanical health

Aggregated view of fault codes, recurring issues, warning lights and engine events. Feeds early-warning alerts and health tiers across a portfolio.

Usage & exposure

Distance, trip types, typical routes, and usage intensity.

Helps distinguish light daily use from high-risk usage profiles
such as continuous heavy mileage.

Privacy & integration

Respectful by design, easy to connect.

ONE is built to be transparent for drivers and interoperable for
partners. That means clear consent, no cameras, and integration options that match your IT reality – from light-touch exports to deeper API links.

Privacy-first approach

No in-cabin microphones or cameras, no surprise tracking.
Drivers see their own data and can understand how it’s used.

Businesses gain risk insight without becoming surveillance
companies – an important line in modern mobility.

Integration pathways

Start with standalone dashboards and exports. When ready, connect
ONE into existing loan, policy, CRM or fleet systems through
APIs, webhooks or batch data feeds.

We focus on the mobility intelligence layer, so you can keep using the systems your teams already know.
